Quick guide: vacuum weekly, blot stains without rubbing, wash covers at 30 °C maximum, and never put the foam in water.

In short: vacuum once a week and blot every stain straight away with a white cloth, without rubbing. For a full wash, wash only the fabric cover, in cold water or at 30 °C maximum, and dry it in the shade without a tumble dryer. Never put the foam in water.

An original fabric worth caring for

Our majlis are made from an original woven Sahrawi fabric, about 3 mm thick and 750 g/m²: a sturdy fabric that keeps its colours for years when treated gently.

Weekly care

  • Vacuum the seats, backrests and gaps with the upholstery nozzle.
  • Rotate and flip the cushions from time to time.
  • Keep the majlis out of direct sunlight to protect its colours.

Stains: act fast

  • Blot, don’t rub, working from the edges towards the centre.
  • Tea: lukewarm water with a little gentle, bleach-free detergent, then rinse well to remove the sugar.
  • Grease: sprinkle with cornflour or bicarbonate of soda, vacuum, then wipe with lightly soapy water.
  • Don’t soak the fabric, or water will reach the foam.

Washing the covers

Check whether the piece has a zip, or ask us before washing (WhatsApp 0657059044). Turn the cover inside out, wash at 30 °C maximum on a delicate cycle, dry in the shade and only put it back once fully dry. Always follow the care label if there is one.

Foam and rug

The foam is guaranteed for 25 years; it is never washed or soaked: wipe its surface with a damp cloth and air it while the covers are being washed. Vacuum the rug regularly and dry it flat in the shade after washing.
